We took the family to the Utica Zoo on Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed it quite a bit. Will not iced the significantly smaller cages for the animals. That opened a good discussion about the animals' needs. We also talked about how this zoo is struggling for money so it is not as well kept as others. I think once you've been to a world class zoo like the Columbus Zoo it is hard to appreciate less. Still, the kids really had a great time.
W and R both were especially sweet when they had a chance to pet a Leopard Tortoise. They were so gentle and fascinated. It was a really nice moment to see them together.
G was really patient. He spent most of the visit snoozing in the sling. That was lucky for us because he is awake and alert a lot now and he's not too keen on being left out of the action. He is a "go baby."
